On Thursday 16 & Friday 17 June 2022 the research group Citizen Friendly Data Communication from Tilburg Law School will host a free conference in the LocHal in Tilburg. The topic of the conference is Open Government Data for Citizen Participation.
The conference will consist of an international seminar for academics (Thursday and Friday morning), followed by a (Dutch) symposium (Friday) for academics and professionals on the new Dutch open government law (Wet Open Overheid). During the conference we want to connect professionals and researchers to brainstorm from different angles of expertise about what it means to have citizen-friendly data communication.
We welcome you to submit an abstract for the international seminar on Thursday. Deadline April 1st, submit to Shirley Kempeneer. More information about the conference and thematic tracks on our website.
We will also be hosting a special issue in Information Polity on the topic of Open Government Data for Citizen Participation. Papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in this special issue. More information here.
If you have questions, please reach out.
We are looking forward to seeing you in June.
