Vacancy: Postdoc position EU Public Opinion Research UVA

The Amsterdam School for Regional, Transnational and European Studies (ARTES) currently has a vacant Postdoc researcher position as part of the research Project EUDENTIFY, led by principal investigator Prof. Theresa Kuhn. ARTES is one of the five Research Schools within the Amsterdam Institute for Humanities Research.

What are you going to do?

The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the EUDENTIFY research project directed by Prof. Theresa Kuhn. This 5-year project is funded by a VIDI grant of the Dutch Research Council (NWO) and seeks to analyse the relationship between European supranational institution building and European identity formation. The postdoctoral researcher will compile a longitudinal dataset from existing cross-national public opinion surveys and use dynamic Bayesian latent variable models to estimate a “mood” scale of European identity. The researcher will also publish (co-authored) research articles related to the project and will support the PI in project management and supervision activities. The researcher will be embedded in the vibrant and interdisciplinary research community at ARTES and will have the opportunity to become affiliated to the Programme group Challenges to Democratic Representation at the Department of Political Science at UvA.

The deadline for applying for this vacancy is 11 November 2022.
