This 2-week online winter course takes an interdisciplinary perspective into the rise of identity politics in recent years, and investigates the intersection of identity and politics as an essential node for understanding political processes and participation in the present. The programme will welcome expert guest lecturers to help delve into various facets of identity, and encourage participants to bring examples from their home context to share with the class. The course will also explore what effects identity politics has on political systems, in particular, democracies.
