The NIG PhD Dean’s role is:

• • • The Dean is an independent point of contact for NIG PhD students who have concerns, complaints or other issues regarding NIG in courses, conferences or other NIG activities.
    • The Dean speaks to NIG PhD students in strict confidence.
    • The Dean helps to resolve any problems or issues that are identified and does whatever they deem necessary to achieve this.
    • The Dean does not communicate about individual matters, but may discuss general patterns with the PhD council and/or NIG board if there is a need and reason to do so.
    • The Dean is not the only “channel” through which participants can express concerns of any kind regarding NIG. They can also contact their representatives in the PhD Council, the Board and the NIG Advisory Board, as well as the management itself, of course. All courses are also evaluated anonymously, which, if necessary, provides an opportunity to send signals to NIG.
